Die Geschiedene Frau

A musical-satirical operetta by Grandmaster Leo Fall, which focuses on freedom and imprisonment in marriage. With Ilia Staple, Maya Boog and Matjaž Stopinšek.

ACTION
The jealous Jana von Lysseweghe wants to get a divorce: Her husband Karel unintentionally spent one night in a sleeping coupe with the young Gonda van der Loo, to whom he provided his compartment for lack of space.

Karel assures his innocence. But when it becomes known in the process that Gonda is a devotee of free love, Karel's defense attempts are no longer believed. The marriage is divorced.

After many amorous entanglements, in which also the president of the court Lucas van Deesteldonck and Janas father Pieter te Bakkenskjil are entangled, it comes finally to the reconciliation between Jana and Karel. The terms "morality" and "freedom" are turned upside down here.
