Europäische Kulturpreisgala
The European Cultural Award is one of the most important awards in Europe. After the Frauenkirche in Dresden and the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, the award ceremony will take place on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the opera house in the Vienna State Opera in 2019. The stars of the evening include the orchestra of the Vienna State Opera KS Plácido Domingo, KS Nina Stemme, Olga Peretyatko, KS René Pape and the violinist Daniel Hope.
Other honors include the Vienna State Opera, conductor Christian Thielemann, American composer and patron Gordon Getty, designer Vivienne Westwood and the environmental initiative R20 AUSTRIAN WORLD SUMMIT co-founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Young Talent Award 2019 goes to the young composer Alma Deutscher.
