Under the title "baRock", soprano Simone Kermes shows in the relaxed and humorous format of the music lounge that baroque and rock music are separated by centuries, but are very close together in terms of mood and drive. Together with the ensemble Amici Veneziani, the singer combines arias from baroque masters with works from later eras and current hits. Catchy tunes from Merula, Purcell and Vivaldi meet modern evergreens from Weill to Sting. At the same time, with the ballroom in the Parkhotel auf dem Weißen Hirsch, there is a new festival venue to discover that couldn't be more suitable for this musically diverse program.
