Martynas Levickis & Iveta Apkalna - Schedule, Program & Tickets

In the imposing St. Mary's Church in Pirna, built at the beginning of the 16th century - one of the largest late Gothic hall churches in Saxony - two extraordinary artists meet: the organist Iveta Apkalna from Latvia and the Lithuanian accordionist Martynas Levickis: Apkalna, who is one of the world's leading artists soloists on their instrument, and Levickis, who made his way onto the world's major stages with the accordion in his early twenties, will be one on this special evening, where unusual arrangements of works by Boëllmann, Vivaldi and others will be heard develop a very special sound world. Two exceptional interpreters in a duo on their related and yet very different instruments.
