The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, founded in 1902, is one of the top international orchestras and is traveling to Dresden with one of the most esteemed conductors, Manfred Honeck. Both were seen together at the Nobel Prize ceremony in 2022 and will also show during their appearance in the Kulturpalast that the chemistry is right here on the concert podium. The matinee begins with a musical greeting from the orchestra's fellow Swede, Andrea Tarrodi, and performs a Nordic classic, Sibelius's popular Violin Concerto. The soloist Daniel Lozakovich, who has developed from a child prodigy to one of the most sought-after violinists, also comes from Sweden. At the end, Dvorák's Eighth Symphony, which is overflowing with melodic ideas, pays melodious homage to the composer's Bohemian homeland.
