This is all the more true when an excellent ensemble of soloists joins in, the Frauenkirche is a congenial concert venue and a work is on the program that is one of the most important sacred compositions of all and whose score is now part of the UNESCO world heritage: The B minor Mass is Bach's last major vocal work, which he worked on for almost half his life. As early as 1724, a Sanctus was created for Christmas Day, followed in 1733 by a Kyrie and a Gloria for Christmas Day
