Jazzrausch Bigband - Schedule, Program & Tickets

What has now become of the Jazzrausch big band, founded by trombonist Roman Sladek in 2014 with a few fellow students from the Munich University of Music and Theater, can be summed up in one word: cult. In their concerts, the techno big band combines jazz, classical and electronic dance music in an incomparable way. Whether as the house band of the Munich techno club Harry Klein, in the Elbphilharmonie or at jazz festivals in Nairobi, New York and Shanghai, the Jazzrausch big band inspires audiences worldwide with their enormous stage presence and joy of playing. With their program “Bruckner’s Breakdown,” an orchestral cloud of sound on dubstep grooves sweeps through concert halls and festival stages. Especially for Leonhard Kuhn's arrangements of the symphonies and his new compositions, the ensemble was expanded to include horn, percussion, bassoon and three strings, making the concerts a melting pot of the musical present. After their festival debut in 2019 in the Reithalle, the Jazzrausch Bigband is now a guest at the Stromwerk with their Bruckner homage.
