Vienna Boys' Choir - Classical

Around the world in MuTh

The Vienna Boys' Choir is one of the oldest boys' choirs in the world - certainly the most widely traveled. Founded in 1498 as part of the court band of Maximilian I in Vienna, they have been a private, non-profit association since 1924. In 1926 they toured for the first time. Since then, more than 1000 tours have taken place in 99 countries; about 30,000 concerts were sung.

The recipe for success? Fireworks of music - the perfect mixture of motet, art song, world music, pop and waltz, the classic program of the Vienna Boys' Choir, as they know and love millions of viewers around the world. A concert by the Vienna Boys' Choir means two hours of music and two hours of vacation from everyday life.

You can take part of this repertoire home with you on their latest CD: "Simply Classical" is the sung calling card of the Vienna Boys' Choir - fitting to the program.
