A special, long-awaited highlight of the Advent season for many is the traditional Christmas carol evening of the Dresdner Kreuzchor, when the clear voices of the Crucians lovingly recite a fine selection of well-known but also rarely heard Christmas carols and sometimes sing them together with the audience. The emotional concert evening in the Kreuzkirche, which is lit by Christmas trees and candles, is complemented by classical choral works from the Christmas season and the festive sounds of the brass ensemble of the Staatskapelle Dresden.
