Fate? Decision!
Ancient Heroines - Timeless Voices
The king's daughter Deidamia, who is in love with Achilles, the Egyptian queen Berenice, who is trying to rule her country alone, Ariadne, who has been abandoned by the hero Theseus, or Medea, who has been cheated of love, honor and life, enter the stage. Courageously and with strong will, they all take control of their destiny: protagonists of antiquity can be found in all epochs of literary and musical history, including the dramatic concert arias by Haydn and Beethoven or in the scene for speaking voice and string quintet by Tanja Elisa Glinslner. We meet these women at the most crucial moments in their lives and witness how they overcome the conflict with themselves and their role in society. Sarah Marie Kramer gives them a voice, actress Franziska Hackl lends them her speaking voice and reads texts on the topic.
