The narrator of the novels ALL DEAD FLY UP has already reported on a wide variety of worlds. This journey began more than fifteen years ago in the vestibule of the Burgtheater. Over six evenings, the world of stories was explored, from which several novels later emerged. Growing up on a psychiatric hospital, an exchange year in Wyoming, time with grandparents and at drama school, the turmoil of love as a young mime in the provinces and the consequences of a stroke became books. The as yet unpublished novel, which will be published in autumn 2024, is about the attempt to gain a foothold in Berlin and the escape to the country to the author's 85-year-old mother. In seclusion, stories emerge about the theater as a place of the most wonderful confusion and grotesque events - and yet it is always about the deep affection between mother and son.
