Rive Gauche - An evening in Paris

The Latin Quarter, the Sorbonne, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Montparnasse - the bank to the left of the Île de la Cité, the very heart of Paris, with Notre-Dame, Palais de la Cité and Sainte-Chapelle, has always been there the meeting place for the intellectuals, for the most diverse artists of the French metropolis. It was also the place for the pioneers of musical Impressionism, such as Debussy and Ravel, or the representatives of the Groupe des Sixs, including Milhaud, Honegger and Poulenc, who set out as musical opposition to Impressionism and Germanic Romanticism in order to bring simplicity and clarity to French music demand. So off to the Seine for an evening with these innovative musicians.
