The Vienna Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1946 and has established itself in the more than 70 years of its existence as one of the world's leading chamber orchestras. The former chief conductor Carlo Zecchi and guest conductors such as Yehudi Menuhin and Sándor Végh were very special and formative partners of the orchestra. The Viennese Stefan Vladar has held the coveted position of chief conductor at the head of the orchestra for 10 years. The internationally renowned reputation of the Vienna Chamber Orchestra is confirmed by its worldwide tours and regular appearances in almost all major European cities.
