Suddenly they are sitting on the street! The French domestic cat Duchesse and her well-cared-for children Marie, Toulouse and Berlioz are appointed as heirs to the wealthy Madame Adelaide Bonfamille, which doesn't sit well with the butler Edgar. So the cat family must go, and now. Thrown out of the cozy home, instead of music lessons, fluffy pillows and English tea, there are suddenly draughty attics, street dogs and cackling geese that the noble cats have to deal with.
What's more fun? The sheltered life in the house or the exciting life on the street? In a true adventure story full of wild chases and exciting twists, the cats try to find their way back home. Last but not least, the street cat Thomas O'Malley helps them. Friendships are formed in the most unusual of places - and sometimes love too.
The story of the cat family is now brought to life on the Volksoper stage to the thrilling songs of the Disney film and with a lot of imagination and playfulness.
