Meisterwerke für Streichquartett: Der goldene Schnitt - Schedule, Program & Tickets

Meisterwerke für Streichquartett: Der goldene Schnitt

Great composers are always in search of the perfect form. In his fourth string quartet, written in 1928, Bela Bartók intensively explored the golden section. Of these, the five-pronged structure announces the central third movement in the middle. Folk elements are an essential part of his musical language. This also applies to Dvořák's "Slavic Quartet". The evening opens with Mozart's perfect "Prussian Quartet" in B flat major.
