Maria Bill singt Edith Piaf - Schedule, Program & Tickets
Maria Bill singt Edith Piaf
PERFORMERS
Maria Bill, Gesang
Michael Hornek, Klavier
Krzysztof Dobrek, Akkordeon
On the occasion of the 100th birthday of Edith Piaf in 2015, the concerts were stormed by Maria Bill with their very personal Piaf program. On each of these evenings, the artist thanked the artist with standing ovations. Already five sold-out dates confirm the uninterrupted interest of the audience. And so it is already customary in the autumn to organize this program, in which the Bill is completely dedicated to the life and interpretation of the songs of the great Piaf.
Edith Piaf, the sparrow of Paris, is something of the big sister to Maria Bill. She has been loyal to her side as a figure and with her songs for over 30 years, accompanying her in concert halls and theater stages. Although the Swiss singer attaches great importance to an audible interpretation of the songs, she resembles the Frenchwoman in the passion, in the tireless burning of the music and the audience. Dressed in black, lips painted bright red, and a smoky, emotional voice: "Padam, Padam" - that's the way we know the petite, energy-vibrating Bill following in the footsteps of the Parisian singer. Since she knows the Piaf almost as well as herself, she tells the audience in a movingly emotional way anecdotes and biographical details of a life marked by highs and deep crises and thus illustrates the well-known chansons.
Maria Bill will be accompanied by Michael Hornek on the piano and Krzysztof Dobrek on the accordion.
