Better clarinet than saxophone

Vivaldi's Four Seasons in a New Dress | Curated by Gerald Preinfalk

Vivaldi's violin concertos "Le quattro stagioni" have seen a lot. Also the recording "Five Seasons", in which saxophonist Eddie Daniels plays the violin part on the clarinet. This impressed Preinfalk and aroused the desire to storm through the "seasons" himself. In the typical Viennese sound style, he leaves the virtuoso violin part to the clarinettist Stefan Neubauer and intervenes in an improvised way – and Eddie Daniels' arrangement is new. The seasonal friction of "Viennese sound" and "jazz" tone becomes an experience here.
