The already well-known and clever barber from Seville and his spirited love Susanna are at the center of this opera, which tells with sparkling wit about the chaotic events of the "Day of Madness" and a wedding that almost went up in smoke. But there is much, much more... Human emotions, longings, dreams and disappointments, which Mozart's balanced and artful music depicts not only with irony but also with humanity.
Judit Galgóczy's directing focuses on the dynamic and vibrant game in which everyone appears different than they are and wants something different than they have. Everything on stage is alive, vibrant and moving as the music swells...
