"I am what I am, and what I am is unusual" - the "Coming Out" of drag queen Zaza caused an earthquake theatrical triumph at the Volksoper in January 1991, two years before the first Life Ball. The 187 performances of the Cage production were all stormed.
Albin aka Zaza is the star of a nightclub in Saint-Tropez, Georges is the owner. Together they are a lovely couple. Then Georges ’son emerges from an earlier" misstep "and tells his father that he wants to marry the daughter of an ultra-conservative provincial politician, of all people. Misunderstandings and disguises, but also an entertaining, happy ending are inevitable.
Melissa King, who has so far emerged as a choreographer in our company, re-stages the summer hustle and bustle in the “fool's cage”. And the fans of Drew Sarich and Viktor Gernot can look forward to the "Coming Out" of the stars ...
