The love potion is created by Donizetti in the incredible record time of two weeks: The result is one of the most heartwarming and comical love stories of the entire opera.
Adina, Gutspächterin in a rather remote village's young, rich - and well read. The poor Nemorino admired her. The country people she submits a touching version of the story of Tristan and Isolde, but she finds plenty of funny: Tristan, Isolde unloved receive a miracle man a love potion, is overcome by the magic of Isolde's heart.
