Piano recital Francesco Piemontesi

Francesco Piemontesi, who was born in Switzerland and now lives in Berlin, has been a guest at the festival several times and has close musical ties to Dresden. Now the critically acclaimed artist as one of the world's most sought-after pianists of his generation can be heard in his characteristic technically brilliant and musically sensitive style at the Palais im Großer Garten. His recital combines groundbreaking works of piano music with Beethoven's "Waldstein Sonata" op. 53, his Sonata No. 30 op. 109 and Debussy's second book of the "Préludes". The Preludes are a prime example of the impressionistic music of the French composer, who created self-contained images with a unique tonal, melodic and rhythmic mood.
