Festival of Life - Baroque Easter Concert

Easter has always been considered the highest “celebration of life”. At the same time, nature awakens to new life in spring and gifts our senses with bright colors, floral scents and mild winds that blow around the castle walls. The Berliner Residenz Ensemble invites you to a festive Easter concert on March 30, 2024 in the Great Orangery of Charlottenburg Palace. Look forward to musical pearls from the Baroque era - an era that stands for joy of life and closeness to nature.

In the majestic ambience of the castle, Tomaso Albinoni's Adagio in G minor unfolds its heartfelt beauty and touches our souls in their deepest depths. The Adagio is considered a “jewel of early music” – solemn and sensual, atmospheric and expressive.

Johann Sebastian Bach's Air from his Suite No. 3 is considered one of the most popular works in music history - it has been touching our hearts festively and with wonderful magic for centuries. You will also be enchanted by his Harpsichord Concerto in D minor BWV 1052 with Alexandra Rossmann as soloist on the harpsichord!

“L'estro armonico” - “The Harmonious Inspiration” - is the title of a cycle of twelve concertos for violins and string ensemble that Antonio Vivaldi published as his Opus 3 in Amsterdam in 1711. Enjoy the enchanting playing of the violins and celebrate spring and Easter in a magnificent atmosphere and at a concert full of joy of life!
