While nature in the castle garden sinks into soft tones and withdraws into wintry silence, the time for reflection and pausing begins for us. Baroque music is able to give us these moments and thus do our souls good - with this in mind we cordially invite you to our Advent concerts in the Great Orangery of Charlottenburg Palace.
Enjoy the brilliant and virtuoso playing of the Berliner Residenz Ensemble under the musical direction of Alexandra Rossmann, who also shines as a soloist on the harpsichord in Bach's Harpsichord Concerto A major BWV 1055.
In addition to Tommaso Albinoni's "Adagio", which hits heart and soul, arias from Handel's Messiah HWV 56 conjure up a peaceful and heartwarming atmosphere in the royal orangery.
