Vienna Woods bus tour
This excursion takes you from Vienna into the southern Vienna Woods, past the Roman and thermal town of Baden, through the romantic Helenental. Enjoy the ride in our comfortable bus while the green landscape passes you by.
Heiligenkreuz Abbey
The first stop on our excursion is the Heiligenkreuz Abbey, which was founded in 1133 and is still a monastery today. During a guided tour we will show you the medieval cloister and the burial place of the Babenbergs. This dynasty is the oldest ruling family in Austria and shaped the history of the country for centuries.
Afterwards we continue by bus to the Seegrotte Hinterbrühl. For more than 80 years, this sea grotto has offered its visitors a unique daytime spectacle. The highlight of this tour is the boat trip on the largest underground lake in Europe. But be careful: In the Seegrotte, temperatures are around 9°C all year round, so you have to dress warmly!
At the end of our Wienerwald excursion we will take you back to Vienna. The final stop is the Vienna State Opera.
