Händel goes wild

Christina Pluhar & L'Arpeggiata

Works by George Frideric Handel

in arrangements and improvisations

The audience cheered themselves into ecstasy or fainted, the prima donnas fought to sing his latest arias - at the beginning of the 18th century, George Frideric Handel was the pop star of his time. The baroque composer found his melodies through improvisation on the harpsichord, and consequently Christina Pluhar runs her project Handel Goes Wild as a big jam session. Baroque meets the 21st century - creative, jazzy and not only linked to the highest artistic standards thanks to star countertenor Valer Sabadus.
