Festival of Life – Baroque Easter Concert
Easter has always been considered the highest "festival of life". At the same time, nature awakens to new life in spring and treats our senses to bright colors, floral scents and mild winds that gently caress the castle walls. The Berliner Residenz Ensemble invites you to a festive Easter concert on April 8th, 2023 in the Great Orangery of Charlottenburg Palace. Look forward to musical works from the baroque era – an era that stands for joie de vivre and a love of nature.
In the majestic ambience of the castle, the Adagio in G minor by Tomaso Albinoni unfolds its heartfelt beauty and touches our souls in their deepest depths. The Adagio is considered a "jewel of early music" - solemn & sensual, atmospheric & expressive.
"L'Estro Armonico" - "The Harmonic Inspiration" - is the title of a cycle of twelve concertos for violins and string ensemble that Antonio Vivaldi published in 1711 as his Opus 3 in Amsterdam. From this opus you will hear the Concerto for Two Violins in A minor, Op.3 No.8 RV 522 - enjoy the captivating solo of the violins & celebrate spring & Easter in a magnificent atmosphere & with a concert full of joie de vivre!
