Synopsis

The somewhat down-and-out but self-confident knight Falstaff makes his way as a bon vivant, seeking money and amorous adventures. Although he never succeeds, Falstaff always wins the hearts of his audiences. The conclusion of this cheerful and witty opera: "Everything is fun on earth!"
