Ermonela Jaho & Simon Keenlyside

The famous British baritone, Sir Simon Keenlyside, was released on 27.1.2015 at the invitation of Nachtigall Artists in Prague, with the bass Štefan Kocán and the PKF-Prague Philharmonia, a project entitled Blue Skies. His current concert in Prague comes after his knighthood and the title Sir of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II. Among his other awards is the prestigious title of the chamber singer awarded by the Vienna State Opera. Singer of the Year 2011 by the magazine Musical America; and two Laurence Olivier Awards from the Society of London Theater.

Where can the audience look forward to admiring the art of Sir Simon in the 2018/19 season? Among others at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich (as Don Giovanni and Rigoletto), the Vienna State Opera (as Giorgio Germont in La Traviata and Ford in Falstaff), in London Covent Garden (as Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro) or the Deutsche Oper Berlin (as tungsten in Tannhäuser). And of course in the Prague Smetana Hall! His partner here is the soprano Ermonela Jaho, a native Albanian who currently lives in New York. In recent years, she has been applauded by music lovers in many parts of the world, from Sydney to London. She was praised as "an unstoppable phenomenon" by the critic of the Australian Daily Telegraph, while The Independent referred to her in the UK as "the best Madama Butterfly London in years".

Ermonela Jaho is best known for her reports on Violetta, Madama Butterfly and Suor Angelica. In the 2018/19 season Ermonela Jaho returns to the Bavarian State Opera as Madama Butterfly and Suor Angelica, to the Opéra National de Paris, the Londoner Covent Garden and the Violetta at the Staatsoper Berlin. She began the season 2018/19 with her first creation of Valentine in Meyerbeer's Les Huguenots at the Opéra national de Paris. In the following season, she will be seen in July 2020 as Anna Bolena at the Sydney Opera House.
