Elektra - Schedule, Program & Tickets

Elektra

Electra, lonely both internally and externally, has cut herself off from the world and is intent on revenge: her mother, Clytemnestra, and her lover, Aegisthus, are to be killed for the murder of Electra's father, Agamemnon. Clytemnestra, for her part, is tormented by nightmares and memories. Electra fails to persuade her sister Chrysothemis to join in the plan to murder Clytemnestra and Aegisthus. A mysterious stranger, who reveals himself to be her brother Orestes, finally commits the crime. Electra then dances one last, ecstatic dance.
