Drei Tage Mozart - Schedule, Program & Tickets
Drei Tage Mozart
In the early summer of 2019, the Salzburg State Theater will be showing all three operas that Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the congenial librettist Lorenzo Da Ponte created together. The Florentine director Jacopo Spirei and the outfitter Bettina Richter achieved an impressive interpretation of the cycle. For example, "The Marriage of Figaro" plays in the Hollywood Villa of a rich womanizer, in "Don Giovanni" the probably most famous womanizer of all time puts an American suburb in fear and terror and "Così fan tutte" describes the love affairs around a student group at the University of Naples in Florida.
Twice there is the extraordinary opportunity to experience the entire Mozart Da Ponte cycle on Mozar's (1756-1791) hometown for three consecutive days, interpreted by a young, agile Mozart ensemble and the Mozarteum Orchestra under the musical direction of Adrian Kelly.
