The Lehár operetta “The Blue Mazur” can be experienced for the first time in the long history of the festival in Bad Ischl!
The Viennese Countess Blanka von Lossin is unhappily married to the Polish Count Olinski, because he shows too much interest in a dancer. But it is precisely the dance that will bring the couple back together, because when Julian Olinski renounces his exuberant past life, he challenges his wife Blanka to the “Blue Mazur”, thereby proving that his heart belongs to her alone.
Look forward to classic waltz melodies, lively buffo duets and, of course, lively dance rhythms, because the mazurka gave the operetta its name.
