Hannes Buchinger filmed his cows, horses and donkeys for three years. A photographer by profession, he puts his camera on the tripod, presses the release button and then cheats his way into the picture with his animals. He is not only the main actor, but also the screenwriter, director, cameraman and editor of this touching film. Florian Willeitner has created a live music concept for "Der Halter - A film about everyday life in the Alm". Works from a wide variety of eras alternate with improvisations and original compositions, giving the scenes depth and humour
