CLO-CLO - Schedule, Program & Tickets

CLO-CLO

Libretto by Béla Jenbach

Premiere: 10th August 2019
Venue: Congress & TheaterHaus Bad Ischl

With the third production, the Lehár Festival presents in semi-staged form a work of the Bad Ischler honorary citizen Franz Lehár that has never before been seen at the festival. The audience is not only enchanted by wonderful waltz music, because Franz Lehár surprises in this work also with modern jazz melodies.
Clo-Clo Mustache is a famous variety singer. Among her many admirers is also the mayor, to whom she lovingly says "daddy". One day Clo-Clo asks him in writing for financial help, but the letter with the expression "Mon chére dad" reaches his wife, which involves the mayor and his supposed daughter in a lot of turbulence.

The German classic label cpo will release a recording of the production as a CD. CLO-CLO by Franz Lehár - a rarity that should not be missed.
