Cleveland Orchestra & Welser- Möst - Schedule, Program & Tickets
Cleveland Orchestra & Welser- Möst
The concert with the Cleveland Orchestra conducted by Franz Welser-Möst also leaves nothing to be desired musically. The orchestra, praised as one of the world's best orchestras, and its conductor are literally a well-rehearsed team and can look back on two decades of extremely successful cooperation. The audience in the Kulturpalast can look forward to a unique taste of this, where the musicians will present a colorful Strauss programme. The composer's tone poems are undoubtedly among the most gripping and virtuoso works in the orchestral literature: With "Macbeth" and "Till Eulenspiegel's Merry Pranks" there are two of Strauss's masterpieces on the program, in which the late romantic virtuoso pulls out all the tonal registers. The evening ends cheerfully with a suite specially compiled by Welser-Möst from the musical comedy »Der Rosenkavalier«.
