Blutrache

Inspired by a real murder case, the British author and director Jethro Compton, after his acclaimed Western show "The Frontier Trilogy" shown at Rabenhof in 2016, creates a gripping "Alpine Western" about justice and revenge.

Tyrol, a snow-covered valley - it is the 3rd of January 1904, when shortly before dawn a shot breaks the silence. A man lies dead in the snow, struck from behind, murdered. The culprit, a wealthy large-scale farmer, escapes with impunity - the law of the forest has directed a poacher, the locals judge. The dead poacher had a daughter and a granddaughter; After many years they return to their old homeland to pay their dad the last respects.
But they do not expect justice. The authorities do not care about poor poachers and mourning strangers, their concern is to maintain the status quo of the rich and powerful. The two women have no choice but to take the right into their own hands.
