In the multi-part Semperoper Ballet »A Midsummer Night's Dream« (2018), Shakespeare's classic »A Midsummer Night's Dream« (around 1600) and Antonio Vivaldi's violin concert series »The Four Seasons« (1725) meet two true repertoire favorites that essentially deal with the essential emotional issues of people and the environment around them. Because in addition to Frederick Ashton's ballet adaptation based on Shakespeare from the 1960s to the newly arranged incidental music by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy (1826/1843), David Dawson also takes inspiration from Max Richters in his contemporary choreography »The Four Seasons« (2018). reinterpretation of Vivaldi's music (2012), this thematic field of tension.
