Ballett: Appassionato - Bach und Vivaldi

Prete Rosso by Boris Nebyla
Monkey Mind by Eno Peci
Not Another Now by Martin Winter

The last premiere of the season and Manuel Legris as director of the Wiener Staatsballett are dedicated to world premieres of choreographers who have emerged from the company.

The moving biography of Antonio Vivaldi encourages Boris Nebyla to pursue a choreographic search for the legendary "Prete Rosso" and leads him and others. a. to venues in Venice at the time of the carnival and to Vienna.

Eno Peci explores the power of thought with his choreography "Monkey Mind". This makes it possible to find inner strength and to remain calm even in the face of great dangers and challenges. His concept opens interesting insights into the world of stage dance, especially from the aspect of stage fright.

Martin Winter follows in his emotionally profound argument above all the symbolism of the music of Antonio Vivaldi in "The Four Seasons", whereby Winter relies on the 2012 edited edition of the work of Max Richter. The choreographer assigns allegorical figures such as life, love and death to the individual musical sections.
