The Vienna Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1946 and has established itself as one of the world's leading chamber orchestras in the more than 70 years of its existence. Former chief conductor Carlo Zecchi and guest conductors such as Yehudi Menuhin and Sándor Végh were very special and formative partners of the orchestra. Viennese Stefan Vladar has currently held the coveted position of chief conductor at the top of the orchestra. The internationally renowned reputation of the Vienna Chamber Orchestra is confirmed by their worldwide tours and regular appearances in almost all major European cities.

You will not only be spoiled acoustically at these concerts, you will also be visually impressed: there is a lot to discover in the magnificent interior of the Vienna Minoritenkirche. The north side of the building is adorned with an impressive mosaic by the Italian Giacomo Raffaelli. It is a replica of the famous wall fresco by Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper, which has a total weight of 20 tons.
