9th International Iván Nagy Ballet Gala
The ballet world remembers a Hungarian legend

In 2014, international ballet artist and ballet director Iván Nagy died suddenly. After his retirement, he had returned to the Hungarian State Opera as Chief Artistic Advisor. He used his extensive expertise to support the work of the Hungarian National Ballet; his death left a gaping hole among the members of the corps de ballet. Since then, every year a ballet night has been held in his honour, where soloists from the most important corps de ballet from around the world - Royal Ballet, English National Ballet, Bolshoi, Páris Opera, Het Nationale Ballet - and the performers of the OPERA's corps de ballet pay tribute to Iván Nagy's greatness as an artist and as a person. The Solymosi Prize is awarded on the same day.
The Hungarian National Ballet, the students of the Hungarian National Ballet Institute and the orchestra of the Hungarian State Opera are taking part.
