Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Requiem in D minor KV 626

Everyone is lonely when they say goodbye to the world. Hardly any other work is surrounded by as many legends as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Requiem, which he was still working on on his deathbed and which he had to leave unfinished: a moving liaison with death, a bargaining and struggle for every note. Even if modern research has long since been able to clear away all the mystical cobwebs: The fascination remains for this unique work, which Count Walsegg-Stuppach ordered from Mozart for a lot of money through a "gray messenger" in order to pass it off as a composition from his own pen at performances in his castle ... Exquisite vocal forces are also on hand when Julian Rachlin performs the Requiem with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe.
