Sir Antonio Pappano, Conductor
Chamber Orchestra of Europe

Johannes Brahms: Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 1 in D minor op. 15
Antonín Dvořák: Symphony No. 7 in D minor op. 70

English-born Sir Antonio Pappano has left his mark on the music world in recent decades, primarily as Music Director of the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, but also as Chief Conductor of the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. Now he is once again making a guest appearance in the Haydn Hall to conduct the Chamber Orchestra of Europe in two major works by two composer friends. The brilliant young Frenchman Alexandre Kantorow is the soloist for the magnificent Piano Concerto No. 1 by Johannes Brahms. Antonín Dvořák's dramatic yet melodious Symphony No. 7 forms the rousing counterpart.
