Advent is expectation: every candle, every note stands for something that is not yet here. Daniel Hope and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra ring in the Christmas season with numerous moments of musical anticipation. Warmth, reflection on the essential things in life, inner contemplation - the musicians do not focus on effects, but on atmosphere, playing for an audience that wants to listen and get in the mood for the approaching Christmas festivities together. One thing we can't promise (yet): a snow-covered church dome. We still need a little help from higher up.
