The rousing, globally acclaimed musical “MAMMA MIA!” returns to the Mörbisch Lake Stage in the summer of 2027 under the theme “All New”! A new set design, new costumes, and a new cast are intended to entice the more than 180,000 attendees of the first Mörbisch production to see ABBA’s blockbuster musical again, as well as to attract those fans who were unable to get tickets in 2023. What remains the same? Of course, ABBA’s unforgettable songs: From “Mamma Mia” to “Super Trouper” to “Take a Chance on Me,” the show continues to be driven by the Swedish cult band’s timeless global hits. And, of course, the lake stage will once again exude Greek flair and a summery vacation vibe.

The humorous story, penned by British author Catherine Johnson, has delighted over 60 million people worldwide with its charm, wit, and spirit. The mother-daughter story centers on single mother Donna and her 20-year-old daughter Sophie, who, shortly before her wedding, wants to uncover the mystery surrounding her father.

In “MAMMA MIA!”, look forward to a celebration of life, legendary ABBA music, and the unique atmosphere at the Mörbisch Lake Stage, which seems tailor-made for this musical.

Please note that both the songs and the dialogue are sung and spoken in German. We are required to do so in German-speaking countries for copyright reasons. The only exceptions to this rule are international touring productions, where the singing and dialogue are in English.
