Isidor - schedule, program & buy tickets

Commercial Councilor Isidor Geller is highly respected in Viennese society; yet after the Nazis seized power in 1938, he loses everything. Years later, his great-grandniece, the journalist Shelly Kupferberg, comes across Isidor’s name in her grandfather’s letters and sets out to research his story. In *ISIDOR – A JEWISH LIFE*, she recounts his rise and fall, from his childhood in Lviv to his arrest and death, and offers a detailed look at early 20th-century Vienna and the destruction of democracy.

Following his BURG debut with the production of *LILIOM*, Philipp Stölzl is staging the world premiere of Kupferberg’s best-selling novel in a dramatization by Caroline Bruckner.
