The darling of the audience, Marika Lichter, searches for traces of the family past, which is more than just a personal discussion. The extraordinary evening of theater is a homage to all those who came before, an examination of the terms "home" and "at home", an investigation of the phenomenon of "being jewish" and a declaration of love for life.
Marika Lichter tells stories, quotes and sings, lets the past blossom again and illuminates the feeling of being a stranger "here" and "there" - in the country of birth as well as in exile. Carefully selected songs illustrate and counteract the dramaturgy of the evening - whether (Jewish) tango or lullaby, whether hit or (operetta) aria, political song or love ballad, the musical mosaic stones (fill) the gaps that real history has torn . Jewish, Yiddish sages - Jewish worlds come alive and, in combination with the subtly set texts, build a bridge from then to now.
