When Prince Hamlet returns home to Denmark, nothing is as it used to be. His father, the king, is dead. His mother is newly married to her late husband's brother. He runs the affairs of state and decides the future of the country and its people. When the ghost of his dead father appears to the young Hamlet one night, accusing his own brother of poisoning him and calling on Hamlet to take revenge, his world is thrown completely out of kilter. In the struggle to restore order and justice, Hamlet fights steadfastly against a system of corruption, lies and falsehood. Is his mother still at his side? - Or is she even involved in the murder plot? Does Ophelia love him or is she spying on him? Who can still be trusted here? Hamlet doubts everything and everyone and despairs more and more of himself.
