What would an allotment garden club be without its pub? Without its pub, where people gossip, vote, drink and sometimes bang the table? In the Volksoper allotment garden association, this place is called Zur heißen Zitrone. Everyone meets here regularly for a spritz and a cheese toast: long-time residents, "Zuagroaste", artist bobos, pensioners - in short, everyone who has managed to get hold of a much sought-after plot in the idyllic allotment garden oasis and who are keen to defend the patch of green that belongs only to them ...

Austria under the magnifying glass, a zoom on our society and for some the greatest happiness, this allotment garden. Peace, barbecues, time out - but also: order and rules, because nothing escapes the strict observation of the neighborhood. Neither the hedge that is a centimeter too high nor the overhanging apricot tree. And certainly not the disregard for the midday rest period! In Zur heißen Zitrone we tell the stories from this microcosm. Of course, they are all linked by music: Austro-pop!
