Synopsis:
The young Prince Tamino receives a commission from the Queen of the Night to rescue her daughter Pamina—with whom he falls in love at the sight of a portrait—from Sarastro's clutches.
He sets out on a journey with Papageno. During the course of his adventure, Tamino recognizes Sarastro's kindness. He passes several tests and, as a reward, is allowed to take Sarastro's place, along with Pamina. Papageno also finds a suitable partner: Papagena.
