Finally - after years of deprivation on Boulevard Erdberg - a new Singspiel
from the "Godfather" of the new Viennese song!

Poet and songwriter Ernst Molden, who escaped from Döbling to Erdberg decades ago, has dedicated a fantastic dance of death to the district of his birth.

Döbling, Vienna's 19th district, the last bastion of the old Austrian bourgeoisie. There is a hangover mood after the (Neustifter) Kirtag: Otto Meyer-Sudelfeld, a failed performance artist and the last scion of a rubber manufacturer dynasty, could inherit his grandmother's villa and her fortune if only he would finally behave like a decent Döbling man and bury his boozy ideas. But the church in the form of Monsignor Schoiswohl is also eyeing the villa and the money. The demonic winegrower Leopold Probus Musil also plays a role, as does a real Döbling ghost: St. Agnes.

After the Amadeus award-winning and multiple Nestroy-nominated productions HÄUSERL AM OASCH, HAFEN WIEN and MAYERLING, Rabenhof's Ernst Molden - who has been a "partner in crime" at the Gemeindebautheater for decades when it comes to the successful revival of the old Viennese singspiel - is finally back with a new production.
