The world-famous melodies of Mozart and waltzes by Strauss have their origins in Vienna. Like St. Stephen's Cathedral or the Heuriger, they belong to this beautiful city and are both its cultural heritage and its landmark.

From May to October, the Vienna Hofburg Orchestra performs the best-known works of Johann and Josef Strauss, lively operas and operettas as well as duets by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Emmerich Kálmán and Franz Lehár. The orchestra accompanies internationally renowned opera singers and ballet soloists from the popular Viennese opera houses.

As planned by Johann Strauss and in the tradition of all great Viennese orchestras, the musicians have prepared new musical jokes every evening to delight the audience anew!
